Why Is My Image Failing to Upload to My Account?

F.A.Q. iconAre you having trouble getting an image to upload to your account? This is a question we get every so often and there are a few reasons why your image may not be uploading. Let’s take a look at a few of the most common issues.

Image Format – Sometimes, files that are in JPEG format will not load properly. Using images that are JPG will solve the issue. If your images are JPEG, a simple solution would be to open the image in Paint (if you have a PC) and re-save it. This typically will reformat the image and allow for successful upload. If you do not have a PC with the Paint program, talk to your rep. They can help you with reformatting images.

File Size – The ideal file size is between 3KB and 7KB. If the image is too small, you will experience issues with the upload and image quality. If the file is too large, it will likely take too long to upload and time out, in which case you will receive an error message that says your image cannot be displayed.

Browser – If you’re using Internet Explorer and you have yet to update to the latest version, that could potentially cause an issue with your image upload in addition to other complications with our website software. If there doesn’t seem to be any other causes, try using a different browser or update your current browser to the most recent version.

Session Timed Out – When you’re in the “Edit Individuals” window, sometimes it can take too long to fill in the individual’s information and upload a photo. If you’re getting an error message, try to input all of the information, save it, and then come back and upload your photo separately. This will typically help. If not, consider the previously mentioned details or contact your rep for assistance.
