Child ID Cards: Free in South Brunswick, NJ

Child ID CardsThis year (2016), South Brunswick’s Child ID Day will be held on Saturday, April 2nd from 10:30AM – 1:30PM. All interested parents are invited to come the South Brunswick Municipal Building during this time as the police department will be providing child ID cards at no cost. The municipal building is located at 540 Ridge Rd, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852.

The child ID cards, which are the size of a standard credit card, will include a photo, thumb print, physical description and emergency response procedures. Though the child ID cards are not considered to be valid government identification, they will be quite effective for giving parents or guardians the immediate ability to provide authorities with the child’s description and identifying features.

Police Chief Raymond Hayducka said, “This is our 20th year of offering the Child ID program. The program offers parents a quick way to have their child’s information readily available anytime they may need it.”

In order to acquire a child ID, you must be pre-registered to do so. It is required that the Child ID form be completed and returned to the South Brunswick Police Department by March 30th. If you are in need of additional information, you can contact Sergeant Gene Rickle or Gilda Stanlaw of the Community Policing Bureau by phone at (732)329-4000 Ext. 7469 or by email at [email protected].
