As we’ve been highlighting some of our most popular accessories for ID badges, I wanted to mention another great product that didn’t specifically make it into one of my previous posts, The Top 3 Accessories for ID Badges. The reason for that is simply because it’s a variation of one of the items already on that list. The breakaway lanyard is one that doesn’t get a lot of specified attention but has a very practical and protective functionality, especially for those working in construction or other hazardous environments.
The great thing about breakaway lanyards is that they carry the same functionality as a regular lanyard. They can be found in a variety of colors and can even be customized to sport your company name, logo or phone number. However, what’s distinct about them is there ability to avoid potential neck injuries. If anything were to get caught on your lanyard, it would immediately disconnect which would side step the potential of serious damage to the neck and spine. Additionally, if your lanyard got caught from behind, this breakaway feature would eliminate the possibility of asphyxiation.
If you work with machinery or any other equipment that could potentially get caught and pull on your lanyard, breakaway lanyards are the perfect solution for your ID badges.
